What is HYDROVAC EXCAVATION?
Hydro-excavation is a non-destructive method of excavation that utilizes pressurized water (“hydro”) and suction (“vac”) to expose underground utilities and pipelines to daylight.
This technique is much safer than traditional mechanical excavation, as hydrovacing will not rupture the underground pipes or utilities. In most cases, the client requires a hydrovac to ensure that engineered drawings are correct prior to work being able to commence. With many industrial sites becoming more complex, the hydrovac industry has seen tremendous growth as a result.
Our Hyrdrovac Services Include:

We used to think all hydrovac companies were created equal, but after seeing what the Arktik crews and equipment can do we plan ahead to book these guys for our pipeline work
Project Manager, Fort St John Pipeline Project
We had a safety incident at our project and decided to call Arktik to replace the incumbent hydrovac company. Not only did they do the work safely, they outperformed the predecessor by a ratio of 3:1.
Site Superintendent, K+S Potash Mine
Our project required some rework that needed to be hydrovaced. Since this was coming out of the job’s profit we requested firm priced bids from several hydrovac companies. Arktik was the only company willing to do so, and performed the work in record time.
Construction Manager, Major Oil Sands Project
Our project had an emergency situation where we had to locate an underground leak. Arktik was able to mobilize 5 trucks and staffed crews that worked day and night to minimize the impact of the situation. We are very grateful to the employees and Management at Arktik. Thanks guys!
